The Ventilator doesn¹t have balanced connectors, so bringing it into your
studio which is all balanced introduces a device whose output is ­6dB, while
your studio is operating at +4dB, so the Ventilator¹s output will be
quieter. The noise and hum your getting wouldn¹t be from the
balanced/unbalanced scenario. Make sure you don¹t have audio cables and AC
cables running parallel to each other. That can be a major source of hum.
