Subject:Ventilator Footswitch

OK I like the ventilator - it's certainly an improvement over the C1 and E3
sims. As for the C2's I don't know but I'll wait until the C5 comes out in a
couple of year's time before investigating how Nord have reacted.

I am having problems with this footswitch problem however. I think I
understand Bruce's wiring connections:

To convert a guitar amp double switch to Ventilator operation, it needs to
be re-wired like so. My apologies for the lack of a drawing, but Yahoo!
doesn't allow attachments. I'm assuming that each switch has (at least)
three contacts and can be wired as a SPDT switch. Momentary switches will
NOT work; it must be the push-push style --

Sleeve -> SW1 Common
SW1A -> SW2 Common
SW2A -> Tip
SW2B -> Ring

SW1 is the "off" switch, and SW2 is the "speed" switch. SW1 takes precedence
-- i.e., when SW1 is in the 'B' position (Off), it doesn't matter which way
SW2 is set.

But this depends upon each switch having three contacts. I've ripped an old
Peavey switch apart and it has only two contacts per switch so I understand
why I can only get break to fast or break to slow depending on footswitch
position. So a little extra footwork is required to get (almost) slow to
fast and vice versa.

Is there a readily available footswitch which meets the three contact per
switch requirement?
