Subject:Re: Owner of a Cx3 Korg.. lost his original $180 expression pedal

The pedal that came with my CX3 in 2000, and my BX3 in 2002, was actually a re-logo'ed Yamaha FC7. (Yamaha now owns a share of Korg, and they share certain parts.) They are available all over the Web for $40-50. Electronically, they are exactly the same.

The main issue with expression pedals is that there are two wiring schemes: Yamaha/Korg, and Fatar/Roland/M-Audio/everyone-else. In fact, very old Korg gear (< 1995) will not work with the CX3 volume pedal.
