Subject:Dual footswitch for Ventilator more info

The Ventilator can be controlled by a dual momentary footswitch that has polarity switches.

The footswitch I put together uses two M-Audio momentary pedals and I use it by pressing down/releasing both together to get fast/slow or just pressing down/releasing the right-hand pedal to get fast/stop.

However if I reverse the polarity of the left-hand footswitch I can then use the Dual footswitch like this...

Pressing down and releasing the right-hand pedal gives slow. To get fast I then press down and release the left-hand pedal.

To now get 'stop' I can press down both together and then by releasing both together, the speed returns to fast.

Boss make an FS-6 dual footswitch that should work as a two speed fast/slow ONLY or fast/stop ONLY switch using the two mono outs into a Y mono/stereo adapter.

It should also work using its TRS jack although off-hand I don't know whether it will be the right-hand or left-hand pedal that gives the initial slow or stop. The right-hand B pedal is 'tip'.

The M-Audio flat type pedals are better ( as you can easily put your foot on both pedals together to get the third speed ) but they need fixing close together onto a base plate.
However if you just want fast/slow only or fast/stop only the Boss is already to go.

I haven't tried the Boss pedal but it appears to be OK for the job. Try before you buy and let us know.
