How quickly the "right" way changes. That wiring scheme is the same method used on 9- and 11-pin Leslies. Where the confusion comes in is that the scheme has almost nothing to do with the standard guitar amp double footswitch.

To convert a guitar amp double switch to Ventilator operation, it needs to be re-wired like so. My apologies for the lack of a drawing, but Yahoo! doesn't allow attachments. I'm assuming that each switch has (at least) three contacts and can be wired as a SPDT switch. Momentary switches will NOT work; it must be the push-push style --

Sleeve -> SW1 Common
SW1A -> SW2 Common
SW2A -> Tip
SW2B -> Ring

SW1 is the "off" switch, and SW2 is the "speed" switch. SW1 takes precedence -- i.e., when SW1 is in the 'B' position (Off), it doesn't matter which way SW2 is set.
