this is great... i'm so glad i brought this up. When i was 13, listening to Yes and ELP, I had no idea what was making those cool, percussive and swirling noises. All I knew was that there was a setting on my Roland Juno-2 that was called JSmith that "kind of" sounded like them. Soon afterwards I saw some video with Rick Wakeman playing a piece of furniture and started to understand that I was missing something.

22 years later, I jump at any chance i get to play one of those pieces of furniture (with spinning ottoman) since i can't fit one in my house. That ventilator is one serious piece of equipment that gets me closer to that experience than anything i've ever heard.
