Subject:Re: Will Ventilator Increase Availability of Real Leslies?

I disagree. The lower rotor on the Ventilator from the demos I've
heard, does not have as random of a lower rotor ramp character as a
real leslie. It is basically the same ramp movement. This is what I
meant by centrifugal force effects. When you use a real Leslie you can
listen for the lower rotor's speed and then switch to chorale or "off"
coming from "fast" at certain times to create a lower rotor ramp down
or up effect in relation to the horn rotor depending on each rotor's
speed. There is an inherent lag on a real leslie's rotors, specially by
the weight of the lower rotor, produced by centrifugal force. I was
using this character as a criteria when listening to the Ventilator
demos. It may not be an issue for some and there lies the Ventilator's
demographic market.
