Yeah, I still need to replace the foot switch in my Combo-preamp about once a year. I keep an extra in my cord case. The contacts don't go bad, the actuator/latching mechanism fails. If I ever re design it for a momentary switch, it should increase the switch life.

The point being, I agree, the magic is in the transition.

P.S. I've been lurking on all this Ventilator activity, really sounds like it's a simulator breakthrough. Guess I'll put one on my Christmas List: )
