Subject:Re: Will Ventilator Increase Availability of Real Leslies?

Real Leslies are already very expensive. IMO, guys who have to have real wood aren't gong to be swayed.
With a new 122 in the 2k up range and the 3300 well over a grand it's a hefty price.
For those of us who are on the fence then maybe the V will do.
Guys who are buying real Leslies or guys who want them will still buy because they don't go for clones. These are churches, collectors, touring groups with trucks and crews etc.
I have two and wouldn't even consider a clone a few years ago.
I will always have a Leslie and if one appears at the right price I'll grab it.
Due to time, weight and moving restrictions I now use clones and sims.

Subject: [CWSG] Will Ventilator Increase Availability of Real Leslies?

It seems so far the Ventilator is a real hit. I don't think I have read one negative comment on it so far here and I would love to try one. That being the case, I wonder if folks who haul around real Leslies to gigs will start replacing them with the Ventilator. If that happens, do you think it will increase the availability of real Leslies in the market, and might it even lower their cost a bit? Just wondering.

Lou
