You'll have to experiment a little. Generally, sending *equal* amounts of L+R to a mono PA is a recipe for disaster, because of phase cancellation. But, certain EFX prove otherwise. Mostly, I've found that using the L channel plus 10-30% of the R channel gives a better sound than mono alone, but there are no hard rules, and YMMV.
