Subject:Re: Ventilator Mono vs Stereo (revisited)...
If you use the 1/4" subwoofer out, I believe it sums to mono and it captures all frequencies. It's a weaker signal than the xlr, but it works. I use a K4, and I bring a direct box with me. If the sound guy can accept stereo (and isn't grumpy about it), great. If not, I'm ready with the mono feed, either 1/4" or xlr into my direct box (in case the house doesn't have one).
At my gig this past Saturday, the house initially took the stereo xlrs but took one of them back when one of the singer's mic channels went bad. This happened in the middle of a song, with the sound guy literally crawling under my keyboards to reach my amp. I was up and running in glorious mono for the next song.
