VERY good point, and something I do all the time. I was told if a circuit component was going to fail because of "infant mortality" it would do so within the first 200 hours of operation. Actually, I think it is more of an exponentially decaying curve where maybe 200 hours catches 90% of the failures and your 60 days catches 99.9% of them. With some rare exceptions, new equipment has never been on for more than a few minutes when a consumer buys it.
My wife did think it was strange when I left our new television on 24/7 for a few days after we got it.
