Hi there,
for the VB3/B4 comparison, I actually prefer the sound of B4 (1.x) when going through the Leslie, I think it sounds more "full", closer to a tonewheel Hammond, but VB3 has a few features that I really like, such as the included reverb and the no foldback on 16' option.

Since I took the picture of the Leslie, I have modified the top part to experiment with different kinds of "louvers" but ended up leaving the sides wide open (about 3"x15") since recapping the crossover reduced the high frequencies.
