Perhaps I was misenterpeted--I agree totally--I use a 150 watt driver with a phenolic diaphram, my point was that BT productions uses a JBL driver with their system and except for some vintage JBL's , they're all metal as far as I know.

Drivers with metal diaphragms suck for getting an authentic hammond
tone. Hammonds do not produce any frequencies above about 6-7 KHz. The
original Jensen V-15 uses a phenolic driver, and any replacement
driver should also, if you want it to sound authentic. If you are
going for a different tone or want to experiment, by all means try
anything you like.
