Hi
Most of all the powered speakers out there are very good. Add a stereo preamp & you will be delighted. Call if you need more details 717-292-0814. Listen to this like for more proof.

From what I have read so far the new Jbl's are not being favorably received. I was reading this recently on one or two threads but don't have personal experience with them. Good luck, BB

Subject: [CWSG] Seeking powered speaker recommendation
Hi,
To lighten the load and speed up set up time I stopped carrying a Barbetta 41C and have been going straight to the board, relying on stage monitors. I'm not thrilled with this but rather than going back to the amp I was considering a stereo set up using two small powered monitors. My set up would be XK1 > Mackie mixer > Monitor/DI and Yamaha P85 > Mackie mixer > Monitor/DI (eliminating my Speakeasy preamp since it's mono). For size and weight the JBL Eon 510s seem ideal but the Mackie 350 v2 monitors also could work. Based on past posts and in store listening (recorded music not the keyboards) I'm not certain which one would be the better choice sonically (if either) or maybe I should stick with the Barbetta. If anyone has already gone down this road I would appreciate your feedback.
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Jay
