Subject:First Gig with the Nord Electro 3

I had my first live gig with the Electro 3. Overall I like it very well. I ran the organ out the left side into a leslie 760 with built-in microphones. Sounded great. The right output I ran to a direct out and a powered stage monitor. Also sounded gread. It will take some getting used to in using the LED's and buttons.

I piled all my favorite tweaked sounds to the lower storage banks. I thought the keyboard being so light would move around on me but no issues there.

I need to get an extra power cord in case I the one that comes with it gets misplaced.

My old keyboard hard case fits perfectly after I stuffed in a swimming noodle.

I wish nord would just put 9 drawbars, D6 toggle switches and Fender Knobs on the thing. It would then be a dream machine. I do miss pitch and mod wheels for a few special effects.

I think it's going to be a great live machine. You sure don't feel very commanding behind this little red board like you do a big ol Hammond but the sound is big.
