Thanks for the reference to the JBL pro site. I downloaded an
exploded drawing of the G2s and immediately knew what the problem
was. The transformers are held onto the frame with one bolt through
the center. Both boxes had worked loose from use. Took about 30
minutes to fix both boxes -- 14 screws each box and a gentle turn on
the transformer bolt.

I was very cautious, both with the bolt through the transormer and the
case screws, as the case is plastic and the transformer is
electronic. Maybe I'll have to do this again in a couple of years,
but I resisted the urge to put lock-tite on it....
