Subject: [CWSG] Leslie 770 project
Listers,
I believe I must recognize too grandiose of ideas and will admit defeat.
I had hoped to resurrect my vintage Leslie 770 from my band's glory (small
g) days by as
many parts as I thought I'd need to get it going including amp, crossover
back panel,
pretty much everything. But realistically, I'll never have the time or
aptitude to put this
puppy back together. I plan to take pictures of it's current state and all
the parts and put
them up on the web before I advertise to let this unit go.
For me it will represent the end of an era, for someone more skilled and
adventuresome
than me, might be a labor of sonic love. I'm just giving this group advance
notice because
someone here might be the best fit for this. I haven't decided on an asking
price but it will
be very reasonable (heck, cheap) and I'm located outside of Detroit.
BTW, the unit is painted black (of course) and has a 15" EV SRO and an Atlas
driver and
actually still cranks up but I had gutted the amp and electronics and it has
a crossover
inside that I drove from an external amp. Other issues but that's enough for
now.
Just thought it might be of interest to someone.
Stay warm - global warming chilling us in MI.
