Another detail to check out on all the prementioned brands, especially since you're looking for it to do some sequencing, is the loop feature. By this definition I mean looping a section of the overall song itself, e.g., sequence a song w/ the intro - head, 2 solo choruses, head - out. Set a loop point between the first & last measure of the second chorus & the play as many as you want before hitting?"loop off" to go out. I know the Roland XP series & Fantom, at least through the X series, have that. For me that was a deal breaker a few years ago when I was thinking of getting a Motif. They, at least a that point, didn't have that feature & the only workaround wasn't at all efficient when playing live. I don't know about the Korgs or Kurzweils in that regard, but it's a must-have for the situation where I do most of my playing. Unfortunately in these situations we must go in "looking at the glass as half empty", i.e., find out what the unit's flaws are & decide whether or not you can live w/ that. As far as the sounds of each brand go, different people will have different opinions on which ones offer the best "_______" or "_______" sound. Try them all out & see which ones you like the best. But also, just as importantly,?dig deep into each one as far as their respective features go.
