Subject:Re: Speakeasy Pre-amp Pedal
My experience with the SEVTP when I had it, and the same general
settings I use for my current preamp in my rig is this:
-The input gain/volume on the preamp set to the max.
-Use your clonewheel's volume as your main volume or drive level.
I seem to get the most out of the tube using this method, as opposed
to sending the max volume out of the keyboard and using the preamp
"gain" knob to feed the tube.
-Use the Hi-Gain switch, even with a hot-level XK1, you'll benefit
from that option.
You can hear how this setting sounds in my folder in the Files: and on
my YouTube channel.
I think you will get a better proper tone from the B4 vst than from
the XK1 due to the S.F. issue (shrill factor--but you can research
that in my recent threads on that subject)
my $.02
