That kind of change is a no brainer/no problem with drawbuttons.  Would be he prefer it?
Probably not.
 
It's like asking whether wrist vibrato is better/preferable to finger vibrato/whammy bar.
 
(yes, I like drawbars too, but I had no problem making the switch, to the point that even though I have voce midi drawbars at my disposal if I leave the XK1 at home, I still don't use them, and deal with the Electro's drawbuttons.
 
But this thread has really run its course...the horse has been beaten, flogged, kicked while it's down, and is waiting for the last breath before being butchered.
 
BUT!!!!  I know if you look hard enough you can find a better youtube to back up the "drawbars is better" argument.  This one just wasn't it. \
