Subject:News from Namm

I spent the day at the NAMM show yesterday, and the first thing that struck me was that Nord was not present, as far as I could tell. I was hoping to hear the new Electro 3 but that may not be possible obviously.

Hammond is debuting their new " new B-3". There is a distinct improvement in the chorus vibrato and I was told that this also pertains to to the XK3C as well. I was pretty well satisfied with the sound of the new B-3, as I have had issues with the chorus vibrato on certain models in the past. The price is up there ( 20K plus) but it sounds VERY convincing.

Diversi is here , but on the 3rd floor ballroom, right next to many acoustic piano dealers. There latest offering has upgraded to a DSP operating system, and sounds phenomenal as well. The bass response of this paired with the Motion Sound stationary cabinet provides a sound to be reckoned with. The keyboard feel is also my favorite of any of the clones I have played so far.

One of the nicer features that Diversi is offering?will be that the organ will be upgradable as new versions appear. There will be a fee, but the quote estimate?I got was very well within reason.
?

There is supposed to be a single manual?Diversi somewhere on the premises, and I intend to spend some serious time listening through headphones if I can find it.

This is all I have so far.... there will be more updates as I go.
