Subject:RE: C1 and Leslie 760?
Hi Wolfgang,
I'm not familiar with the Nord C1 but if 11-pin output follows the 11-pin
Hammond standard you need to supply a DC + voltage (about 10-25VDC) to pin
11 and GND to pin 5 for the Leslie sensing (so the C1 knows you have
connected a Leslie).
However for the speed switching you are in trouble, you can't just wire up
an 11-pin to 9-pin adapter because 11-pin and 9-pin Leslies use different
polarity for speed switching, so here comes the expensive 1197 kits into
picture. It is possible to make this by your self but you need have a little
knowledge in electronics.
Regards,
Sven

Subject: [CWSG] C1 and Leslie 760?
Hi,
I'm just making a cable to connect my C1 and my modified Leslie 760.
Modified means, Im no more using the 9-pin plug. Mains are completely
separated, tehere is a 5-pin XLR connection for Audio and Leslie switching.
However things do not work how they should:
When you plug in a 1/4 plug in the C1s high power output, the C1 Led for
Speaker: Rotary starts to blink, there is no Leslie-Simulation in the
signal.
When I plug in the 11-pin Amphenol-Plug (Audio from pin 1) this blinking
does not happen, Leslie-Simuation is not disabled.
I wonder if any one of the unused pins mus be connected to ground in order
to tell the C1 there's a 11-pin connector plugged in?
Connecting the C1s high power output directly to the Audio Input of the 760
works fine, switching speed with buttons on the C1 does not yet work
although its pretty simple: Just pull pin 6 or 7 to ground.
Has anyone successfully created a C1 to 760 without using the rather
expensive Leslie 11-pin to 9-pin Kit?
Greetings
