Subject:Korg Triton LE button replacement

For anyone who needs the button pad (that has the knob)replaced, they are available at tubesandmore.com (which is Antique Electronic Supply) for $12.75 plus shipping. They are known as a "knob block".

I had buttons that were not working, and it turned out to be the knob block instead of the actual tactile switches underneath. It's not too difficult to make this repair. Remove the bottom plate of the keyboard, pull off the rotary knob (stick a pencil or skinny screwdriver through from the back to push it off. Then mark the ribbon cables and their sockets and unhook , keep the screws separated in groups (maybe make a diagram where each type goes), unscrew the two boards on the left looking at the bottom, with the bottom of the keys toward you, and slide/lift out the main board with the knob on it. take off the knob nut, unsnap the knob block (the button pad) and reverse the process. The hardest part of this project, even though I had the service manual was finding out that the button pad was actually called a knob block!
