Hi all

So I've had my Ventilator for a few weeks now, and here's how I'm
finding it. Haven't had the chance to try it with my CX3 as I've been
too busy, so so far only with the Nord Stage Compact EX.

As suggested here on the forum, I've allocated the organ a separate
output, coming out of Output 3 in mono into the Ventilator, then the
stereo outputs from channels 1 & 2 of the Nord (piano, electric keys,
synths etc) together with the stereo outputs from the Ventilator all
going into my little old Behringer Eurorack UB1002 mini mixer that's
been sitting in a box for years waiting for this very moment; from
there into my gorgeous Speakeasy Stereo Rackmount Vintage Tube
Preamp; and finally two D/Is from there into the PA. More basic than
many of your set-ups I know, and it necessitated buying 5 new jack-to-
jack leads for the Ventilator (!) but they're red with black jacks
which look pretty swish... The Speakeasy goes into the D/Is pretty
hot so the sound guy cuts them by 20db (is that right? My eyes/brain
go blurry when confronted with a manual or tech stuff, stereotypical
I know but there you go).

As far as the sound's concerned, I'm really happy so far, and I mean
REALLY happy. Haven't done a lot of tweaking, using it as a
footswitch so it's on the ground, and no stop function as yet (might
go for the half-moon velcro solution in a while) but what I noticed
straight away was that special throaty Leslie growl I'd been missing.
Just seems a lot more emotionally satisfying than the internal sim.

Soon as I get a mo I'll be setting up the CX3 which in general I
prefer for organ: the Nord works great on the rockier stuff but for
jazz I like the warmer Korg sound. As to how I get the Korg and the
Nord organ section into the Ventilator simultaneously - DON"T GO THERE!
