I may have mentioned this before so I hope I don't sound like a broken record but...

The heavy action on my PX300 was one of the reasons I was attracted to it but to get the loud dynamics you need to play with considerable force, which can be fatiguing after a few hours, if that is in fact how you play.

I'm not sure of the other models in this line but it's something you should consider.

Another shortcoming of the PX300 is the inability to set anything in memory. Every time I power it up, it comes up with all the default settings for reverb, touch (which I can't even tell the diference when I change it anyway), GM preset (always goes back to Prog 61), splits and I'm sure everything else.

I deal with it. I just use the default presets and if I use the GM sounds I just scroll to them when I power it up.

I believe the newer models do have improved acoustic piano sounds but the PX300's are OK. I love the Rhodes and Wurly EPs (they are not marked that way but you can't miss 'em.) I'm pretty sure they were excluded in later models (maybe they were too close the the originals?) too bad.

I would not try to talk anyone out of a PX but as for the touch, I am keeping my eyes out for a more realistic action... may be a Roland? I noticed one at an acoustic piano dealer(I forget the model) which simulated the little "bump" you feel when the jack hits the let-off button and slips out from under the knuckle. Now that's cool.
