Subject:newbie...pedal questions

Hi...
just got a C1...can this be interfaced with the hammond xk pedal board? The only jacks on the whole pedal board are the 5 pin midi and an 8 pin expression jack. I guess the unit is powered by the xk keyboard through this 8 pin jack? Anyone have any experience w this?
