Subject:Re: Fwd: [Hammond_xk-3]. I Hate to Play That Song List was Green Onions
Hi all,
See that many of us share the idea that playing for others mostly 'a la carte' isnż't a good one.
I like lot of songs but definitely would hate them if should I play over and over for a fee .
It's like 'tango' being popular all around the globe since 'Tango in Broadway' 20 years ago.....but here , unless when I attended clases at the Conservatory of Music mid 60's, tango was 'music for the old' and nobody would hear it in a night club or disco ( 'boliche' in Argentina), days of Bee Gees remember..... First of May and Honey ! do you ?
tip: if you hear somebody tells 'hey...'che'' sure he/she is from this part of the south cone, speaking a fancy Spanish, mostly influenced by an Italian entonation so sometimes undistinguishable from other accents (i.e. Mexican). Guess that too much Italian immigration (a half of ARG) brought that 'spirit and language of music' to these lands (glissando , da capo, rallentando ,finale ...and so on )
Now that many young people embrace it , it's a pleasure to hear a rythm that's is leveraged by the visual appeal of 'two dancing'
Hey, remember that I got the partiture (written music sheet guess is more common) of 'Alone again (Naturally) ' Was in London , 1979, after years of playing 'by ear' and still today find that the song was more original than the average by those days.
Anybody did it play ?
And thanks Dave by the hint about the Yammy specs.
Asked about MIDI cause saw here a Casio Hammond clone model, the top of the line, not having MIDI sockets, as intended for playing in a PC, assumed that actual MIDI connector wasn't necessary. Only for emulating MIDI protocol by software.
Not good for those having MIDI hardware modules to play.
Rarely , that Yammy model seems to see kinda hibryd as it comes populated with rythms and 'soundfounts ?' as a complement to the ones should be played on the PC side.
The Japanese brains has been enlightened as it happens from time to time as it happens with many nationalities.
Just my question along with my .02 of today.
Best,
Rafael
P.S
Question for Jacques:
May I understand that the word below should be read as valid vs. 'INSANE' ?
