Subject:Re: Ensoniq KT-76 'Quoted-Harmony-Central: one of the best Hammond i've tried by far '
I gigged with a KT-76 as my bottom keyboard for awhile in the early 90's while in a classic rock cover band. It was the weighted key version of the Ensoniq SQ series. What is being heard on the referenced video is not coming out of that keyboard for sure. That being said, it did sound pretty good at the time for much less money that the Korg 01W series and the Yamaha SY series. Ensoniq used Papa Joey D's B3 as the sample source for the organ sound, and the leslie sim was good at the time, but not even close to today's technology. Ensoniq has been out of business for 10 or more years now, once the keyboards break they stay broken.
