Yes it's a matter of finding what tweaks your ear as far as a Hammond
sound and then calling it a day...with all the models out there, one
should be able to find something that works for them.

I helped with back line for a John Legend concert recently for
keyboardist Eugene Roberts aka "Mr. Roland." The band was awesome in
every department including the board work of both Legend and Roberts
The clone used that night was an old Hammond XK2. Some hate the model
for the high end anomalies. I found the XK2 to have those shrill tones
myself. But played through a 142 leslie I provided that night, FOH
engineer, Gordon Mack was impressed with the tone of the XK2 and
suggested they tour with one.
