Subject:Re: [SPAM][CWSG] re Left Hand Bass Help

I think you are definitely on to something with biamping and a 15"
subwoofer. I am in the process of setting up a home biamp. My
subwoofer is an old magnavox console cabinet with twin 15's. My
tweeters will be the trumpets in the same console. I have everything
but the cables. I have been experimenting, and those 15's really
clear up the base. I find myself playing much more "to the left" on
the keyboard. Sunday I played along with two friends on their
clarinets. The low tones were a real nice compliment to their music.
The bass is not just loud, its clear. I can go all the way down and
it never gets muddy.

When I reverse everything and hook up just the tweeters, the strings
and piano sound so NICE on the right end of the keyboard. I also have
an equalizer I can tap it in if I need to. I can't wait to get this
all together. I'm going to hide all the amp stuff, and the cool
looking console will be out front. Its looks like a 60's home leslie
cabinet on steroids with the mod speaker cloth, along with a little
mediteranean walnut. It does a fantastic job with the leslie sim.
