Subject:Re: BX3 / Continental

The Vox Continental has four harmonic drawbars. The first three control the 16', 8', and 4'
footages. The fourth drawbar labeled IV controls four footages simutaneously. These
footages are 2 2/3', 2', 1 3/5', and 1'. All these harmonics are available on Hammonds and
clones. The Vox has two additional tone-shaping drawbars. The first of these labeled with
a sine-wave symbol sets the level of a flute-like tone. The second controls the level of a
brighter reed-like tone which can be mixed with the sine-wave drawbar. Using the
previously mentioned footages and some EQ'ing it is possible to get very close to the Vox
sound on the BX3 and other clones.
