Phil, here's another idea: I modified both of my RBs with the original
leslie idler arm / cloth belt. Then I detension the arm to control the
deceleration time.

All that means is that the spring end that is normally pinned under the
motor mount is instead pinned by a screw so that it is unwound a bit. I just
held the spring end in various locations while trying the deceleration until
it was just right.
