YES, I used your idea for a while but the second keyboard now needs to sit on top of the Nord and there's not much room plus it keeps slipping off.
I'll look for the second tier attachment.
I couldn't find the 550 or a second attachment on line.

The WS550 does have a second tier, you just to buy it as accessories. Or you, can make them for $5 using my instructions. (Please search the archives for WS550 2nd Tier, and you should find them.)
As for the accessories for the WS550, try these:
You'll need the WS562: http://tinyurl.com/2jyaqg
and you'll need the Z727: http://tinyurl.com/2ntql5
The second tier will be height, width and tilt adjustable. And sturdy enough to hold an A90.

Here's a new one.
I think I have every stand ever produced and not one of them is giving me the correct distance/angles.
The Standtastic is great, solid and very adjustable BUT it takes up an acre of stage.
The On Stage two layer is sturdy but it's designed back-ass-wards. The angle of the legs makes it impossible to sit under.
The Roland V is also sturdy, compact etc. BUT there's no way to get the upper level keyboard close to the lower keyboard.
The 550 is also a great stand but has no second tier.
The Apex is........like the leaning tower of Pisa stands. Maybe it will be standing after the first song and maybe not.
You have to learn how to play and sway at the same time.
Tried the X-stand and it's simply not functional for my use.
Since I bought the Electro I use it on the bottom and a Yamaha ES7 on top.
With these stands I can't seem to get the ES close enough to the Nord.
Back to the drawing board for the great keyboard stand hunt.
Anyone want to buy some keyboard stands?
Maybe there is a way to reconfigure one of these stands?
