I just bought a Spacestation, struggling with the same issues
mentioned here, mostly a concern with weight/ bulk/ setup time. Im
using it with the country band I play with (Roland VK8m and Ensoniq
SD1, or alternately a VR760), along with a small subwoofer. I find
that if I place it close and squarely behind me on stage that the
stere-oid effect works well, and my band mates have all noted that
they can hear the keys much more clearly now than when I used a 15" +
horn powered speaker. And the tiny footprint and 20-some pounds is a
treat to use, makes going to someones house for a practice or jam
session a breeze. However, it is almost useless when I play with my
rock band, and standalone, the sound is not as good as a true stereo
setup, as Wolfgang mentions.
