I tried the Spacestation SFX weeks ago. I thought it might be the ideal
compact system to amplify my Nord C1 and my Technics sx-p50 piano. I
loved the SFX-effect which really works well with the C1 Leslie simulation.
But there was a lack of bass and highs. I tried it with my small Yamaha PS12
subwoofer and got better bass.
Using it with the piano was one big disappointement. I packed it up and sent
it back.
My music-room system conststs of two Klein + Hummel RX120/N speakers
driven by an old Yamaha EM2820 Powermixer, modified in order to make
use of the frequncy dividing network in the Yamaha PS12/w subwoofer. It's
even fun to listen to CDs from taht system, C1 and Piano both sound great.
I think it*s the same with digital pianos and the Nord C1: the more Hifi you
can get, the better it ist.
BTW: I enjoy this discussion because I too am looking für something more
portabl, and with less cables (cords?) and setup time ...
