Subject:Re: Adding a "lower manual" to a Korg CX-3
For what it is worth.
Before I got a Korg CX-3. I used an M-Audio Axiom 61 key controller for my Hammond B-3 sound. I used a Korg Wavestation SR sound module for t he B-3 sound. I was pleased with it's modest price and decent performance. I never let me down on gigs. I suiyed my needs at the time and was 100% reliable. I am not ultra picky.

I'm looking for recommendations a 61-key MIDI controller keyboard with
similar "feel" to the Korg CX-3 (digital) keyboard. I plan to build
up a wood enclosure to hold the keyboard, similar to the system that
Hammond sells for their XK-3. (Has anyone done this already?)
My first choice would be an identical-feeling keyboard to the CX-3 if
such a keyboard is available. If it's not, then I guess I'd like
advice on a bare-bones 61-key MIDI controller keyboard. I don't play
many right-handed licks on the lower keyboard, I mostly use if for LH
chords but would like the full range of the upper (CX-3) keyboard
available for my RH without having to split it.
Thanks,
Lou
