The mic boom attachment will quickly connect to either the back of the initial stand or, if you add the 2nd tier, the back of that tier just as easily.  It's worthwhile to purchase the specially fitted case for the stand if you hadn'tt done so already.  It makes for a sweet compact package.  (I store the mic boom and 2nd tier pieces in a separate case).  I do have some pix kicking around somewhere.  I'll see if I can't dig them out and send them to you later on.  BTW - I have received many compliments on how sharp the stand looks on stage.  It's a real attention getter.

Thanks for your comments.  I just bought a V-Stand in Toronto based on all
the great feedback.  It should arrive in a week or so.  I'm interested in
the mic boom.  If I use the V-Stand as a single tier, will the boom
attachment work?  Do you have any pics?
