Simple. The two interact as the sound emanates from the louvers and back. Right? The closer the top rotor's sound is to the lower rotor's makes a difference. A tall boy leslie as in a 30A will definitely have a different sound compared to a closer rotor spread 122, 145 or a 222 which has both rotors on the same plane with the bass cab above them both.. The same difference would happen if your stereo speaker's tweeter were a foot away from it's woofer...
