Subject:Re: [SpeakeasyVintage] re New Product News
Hey Ken,
I’m not at home, but I believe Steve posted the dimensions of this box yesterday, and it was definitely left intact on one of my replies. The lower box is (I think) 21 or 22inches high, but again I’m at work. I don’t remember the width and depth. The upper rotor box might be about 16” high, but maybe Steve or Ted could just chime in here with the actual dimensions. Otherwise, when I get home tonite, I’ll repost the actual dimensions.
I am going to take some pictures of it tonite or tomorrow (actually, my son is going to do that as I still haven’t figured out how to transfer from camera to computer), and I’ll do a side by side comparison with the larger box, and I’ll put a guitar next to it for perspective.
This is still an RB3c, but he may still be getting this stuff uploaded onto his website, as this really is the first truly component system he’s offered: if you own any preamp, any power amp, you can basically use all your own existing gear, and just get these rotor boxes, which I think is just the best idea going. As for pricing, he hasn’t even gone there with me yet as we were working to get this thing right; I’ve been the guinea pig/beta tester. I paid for my RB3c over a year ago, and I bought the entire system, AMA, built in power amp, upper and lower boxes, but since then, have taken the installed amplifier out, gone to a power amp, was using a Flatpack with a preamp and power amp installed, and have parted those out as well, so my numbers won’t make sense to anyone else…they barely do to me. But buying those two boxes alone will be pretty cost efficient for anyone who has any type of preamp and power amp (and yeah, you can even
use a guitar head if you wanted to for preamp and power amp I would think).
And as for my quotes on their site, I don’t get anything for that, and I don’t think anyone else does either….there are quite a few forumites’ comments on his site; these are just beyond-satisfied customers.
