Subject:Re: RECORDING a CD question

Hey Brian,

Thanks for your recording tip.

As freeware collector sometimes have forgot what can be the proper tool nowadays :)

BTW, never unpacked the new in a box Cubase, cause had seen screens thru many specialized magazines, where it looked a bit scaring, in terms of length curve.

I'll try first Krystal, for sure.

BTW, recording 'stuff' from here ahead: remember that Bruce W. put here their hint about their own experience about miking a Leslie.

Sorry if this was already posted before:

What about if using a studio condenser mic to capture Leslie upper horn ?

Think in a large diaphragm , 3/4" and above, like a generic one usually named as 'shanghai mic', even done with a proper mesh to filter flowing wind.

Would it work ?

Don't ask about low rotor cause the SPL (sound pressure level) of it, makes compulsory the use of a good dynamic one, SM57 and the likes.

Any exception hint or suggestions will be appreciated.

Otherwise will use again my old AKG D190 (the ones popularized by Swedish group ABBA in their classic posters)

Remember that ? never saw again that sinterized mesh mike!

They looked like with gold finishing.

BTW...'sinterized' what a word ! , thanks Latin language that let share western languages root words.

Translating from 'sinterizado' was a snap.

These small things (translations) let me got amazed seeing guys fromm Asia , Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece , etc. using different languages and/or alphabet soups, unless to me, and they still write back and forth properly :)

That makes me feel a monkey :)

Best,

Rafael

Eight months ago I knew almost nothing about recording with a PC. It doesn't
take long to learn. In September I downloaded a free mixer/recording program
called "Kristal Audio Engine":

I love it this program. Here's a song I recorded using the software:

I used my Vox Continental in this song (sorry Hammond guys!)
