Subject:OT: Welsh's Synthesizer Cookbook & other synth resources
I'm looking to expand my limited knowledge on synthesis and was wondering if anyone owns or has read this book or books like it. I would like to be able to recognize synth sounds on recordings and be able to recreate/tweak them. Is this book a good way to do that? Or, am I better served by getting a moog-like vst and just analyzing the presets and playing with the various controls? Any input would be appreciated.
TIA, Brandon
