HI,
>Any info would be great.
Two completely different animals.
The X-5 was a 2-manual organ made in Japan under the Hammond name in the late '70s/early '80s. I haven't heard one in years, but the general opinion was that the sound wasn't all that close to a real tonewheel organ, at least, by todays standards.
The XK-5 was produced in the '90s. IIRC, it came out after the XB-2, but before the XK-2. The sound engine is sampled, rather than modeled. Not a bad instrument if you can pick one up at a decent price. It's not as good as the latest round of clones, though (Nord C1, Hammond XK-1/XK-3, etc.).
Regards,
-BW
