Subject:Re: OT - General Music Pro 2 piano - anyone familiar with it?
Hi. The electronics can be a bit dodgy on them, seemingly due to connection issues. This seems to mainly affect the eq and the screen. The sound of them is hard to beat among digital pianos. They record incredibly well, and because of the added artifacts (sympathetic resonance, hammer noise) sound a lot more alive than other digital pianos. Mine still works fine after many years of being my main workhorse. I still use it for primarily piano gigs and recording in studios without pianos.

There is a General Music Pro 2 piano in my area that is being sold at
a pretty amazing price ( 200 dollars).
I ihave been sort of interested in the RPX module and perhaps even the
new PRP 700 but these units don't seem to offer much n the way of
features....such as accesible EQing and that sort of thing.
The Pro 2 is around 10 years old, but alot of GEM products from this
era were highly regarded.
I am wondering if anyone on the list has encountered a Pro 2 and has
any comments.
