Subject:XK3 to Leslie 147
Hi Folks,
Steven Hayes sent me : )
I'm not a 'techy' by any stretch of the imagination.
I am a player. Been playing for quite a few years.
Always Hammonds. M100, B3, A100. Leslies
145 and 147. Korg PA80 for "other" keyboards.
So I'm hoping to learn lots from a serious group
of players (and techy-types : )
I currently have an XK3. Was trying the Motion
Sound Pro 145 but not satisfactory (at all).
Was running the XK3 thru a TrekII into my
147 but getting weird bass stuff - even with
the drawbars all pushed in, in drawbar
mode or even NO mode! So... out with
the TrekII.
Now what? Steven's unit sounds like it should
do the trick but of course I'm curious about
the Hammond-Suzuki interface box that
converts 11 pin to 6 pin ( it's cheaper).
But before I buy I want to know if anyone
has compared the Speakeasy 1147 preamp
with the Hammond-Suzuki 1147.
Anyone?
Nice to meet y'all by the way.
