Subject:The 122 has arrived!

The 122 arrived early this morning and on the worst possible day. We
have a very large and slow moving weather system moving through the
midwest right now and the heavy rains just keep pouring with no end in
sight. After getting drenched, we got the Leslie moved into the office.
We put a blanket over the Leslie but it didn't keep everything from
getting wet. All is well now though. The cabinet doesn't look as bad in
person, however, it's going to need some work done on it. Nothing urgent
though.

A couple of interesting things I have noticed in this Leslie. First, the
upper slow and fast motors are wired into a 4-pin molex plug. The molex
plug connects with another molex plug that have brown and white wires.
At the other end of these brown and white wires are the AC plugs which
plug into the amp. The lower motor stack has the standard wiring with
purple wire nuts. Second, in place of the 2-pin EBY socket is a 1/4"
output. There are 2 wires (red and black) coming out of the crossover
and at the end of these wires is a 1/4" plug. I've never seen a
configuration like this before. I assume this is likely a custom
modification, however, I can't see any advantage to this unless you're
using the tube amp in a different speaker system. Third, the woofer is
not a Jensen C15L. It looks like it might be an Eminence model.

My experience with Keyboard Carriage was excellent. It was very easy
setting up a reservation and the transit time was acceptable. I would
definitely use them again.

Here's some pics I took this morning. My work camera is not highres so
please excuse the quality.

Probably won't get to take it home tonight unless the weather clears up.
