Indeed. But that's the thing, with pipes there is NO tremolo on the pedals,
so he would have wanted that stable steady pedal tone while the manuals were
animated.
And no, the 6x9 doesn't go very low, in most rotosonic Leslies the bass is
automagically channeled into the stationary 15" speaker, on a couple (700
and 710, if memory serves) there is no crossover, that's why these models
need a Trek LCO1 to be used "full range". They were made for organs that
had a crossover (or limited manual compass / stop footage) on the organ end
and therefore didn't need one in the cabinet.
