Subject:Weekend with the RB3 Flatpack/Keypack

I really love my Electro and have loved the organ sound I got using
my SE Classic preamp and Leslie 142. So, It has taken a few days for
my ears to adjust to a completely different amp, crossover, and
speaker system. All I can say at this point is WOW… Steve has nailed
the tone. My upper rotor gives me just enough to satisfy myself for a
leslie sub. But when in a live situation, you really can't tell the
difference. I received my RB3 Flatpack on Thursday and have used it
for a medium volume bluesy band, a VERY loud rock & roll funky band,
my own original bluesy/funky band at low volume, and an open mic
session that was very loud. All of them were wonderful and the sounds
were perfectly cutting through. On the open mic there happened to be
another keyboard player so I got to hear it out front and was even
more pleased.

Now, the other half to this is the bottom piece to this stack, which
is the "Keypack". This took some tweaking but I finally got all of my
electro sounds running straight in and they sound awesome! Especially
the clav. I guess my buddies were right in telling me that a tube amp
with 12's is what you want for a clav. My wurli sounds very rich and
I've switched to Rhodes 1 because of that wonderful high end ting I
get on attack. No I achieved all of this with the Electro's wonderful
sweep EQ so I cant say how it would sound on the Stage …… Guess you
have to go to Steve's site for that.

Overall, I am very happy I made this decision. I have a 250 watt/tube
preamp Keyboard amp that sounds wonderful plus a "Memphis" style
rotary speaker that cuts straight through without mic'ing all in one
setup for under $3000. All I have to do is throw my electro on the
stand, run the stereo headphone output to the stereo input, plug both
power cords in, plug in my FC7 and sustain, and I'm ready to go.

Thanks again Steve …. Great Product!
