What was meant was the 9 contact technology might be forgotten. It
still only exits in the Hammond B3 console digital model, and at a very
high price unreachable by most musicians outside of churches and the
like. Not that the lower model clones are being forgotten. But no other
clone companies other than the mentioned VB3, to my knowledge, have
ever addressed the multi contact feature of a true B3. With new clone
companies coming in, it would be good if experimentation on this
feature be highly considered, at least attempted.

I do have to respectfully disagree.? None of the clones out yet has 9
contacts to my knowledge, but they haven't been forgotten yet.? Its all
have besides the real thing.
Now if someone DID come out with it, they might stand head and shoulder
above the rest.? But so far, and I may be wrong, the original is the
only thing with 9.

I would think the 9 contacts circuit under the board very important.
It is what a B is. If clone makers start building clones without this
feature, over time it will be forgotten. Clone makers should endeavor
to find a way to incorporate this important characteristic, if the
original idea of a B3 is to be preserved.
