Yeah, and I guess you have independent volume control on the instruments so....

I have a yamaha mixer.? But I'm just doing what Steve told me to do when I bought the preamp.? I was probably too uneducated to know any better.? But I've been doing it for 2 years now and I have no problems.? It sounds fine to me, but I'm not recording or anything.? Just playing out now and then and rehersals.

So unless I find there is some vast improvement I'm going to stay with what I'm doing.? Bottom line is I'm mono.? Even if I use a mixer, doesn't it all go into one output to my amp anyway?

Use a mixer, not a splitter. You can buy a small Yamaha with FX (8 ch?) for under $100.

Gene,

Am I understanding you correctly here? You are using a 'splitter' as a 'combiner'... that is
to say, combining the line level outputs of two keyboards into one plug? This would effectively
be like patching outputs together... Now granted, I don't know enough about electronics and
impedance and all, yet somehow this makes me scratch my head in amazement. Can anyone with more
electronics knowledge on this list speak to this? If indeed it is okay, why is it so?

Thanks,

Stephen

bought from Radio Shack to input them both into the speakeasy preamp.? That was at the
recommendation of Steve at Speakeasy.? It works great for me.<<
